Fall is soon here and is by far the busiest time of the year at Christian Way Farm, which means we are looking for the best help to give our guests a great experience on the farm.\u00a0\u00a0It\u2019s hard work, but as our staff will tell you, it\u2019s fun and it\u2019s rewarding.\u00a0\u00a0In order to maintain the great experience the customers at CWF can count on, we are looking for the following characteristics and availability.\u00a0\u00a0Please do not respond or call if you these qualifications don\u2019t fit you!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Dependable<\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a0When you are scheduled to work we need you here.\u00a0\u00a0It\u2019s a short but busy season, so your commitment is critical.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Enthusiastic and energetic<\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a0We want you to be happy you are at work and ready to make it an enjoyable day for everyone around you!\u00a0\u00a0Some days are long and full.\u00a0\u00a0We need people who can hang with us!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Available<\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a0Below are the time frames for the help we need.\u00a0\u00a0If you cannot be available for some consistent portion of the times needed, please leave the job opportunity for someone else.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Responsible<\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a0It\u2019s a busy season with lots of customers and many children and often a fast paced environment.\u00a0\u00a0We need some adults to balance out our team.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Pleasant<\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a0Can you smile?\u00a0\u00a0Can you make others feel welcome when they arrive at the farm?\u00a0\u00a0We want you happy so our guests are happy!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Flexible<\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a0One of the difficult parts of this fall season business is juggling around the weather, the unpredictable crowds or cancellations.\u00a0\u00a0We work hard to work with everyone\u2019s schedules but it means we need everyone to be flexible with us.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Sounds like we need super heroes?\u00a0\u00a0Yes we do!\u00a0\u00a0Please apply!!\u00a0\u00a0We might provide the cape!\u00a0\u00a0(We will provide the training!)\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Positions Needed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Caf\u00e9 help<\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a0Prepping pizza, burgers, hotdogs and other simple food items.\u00a0\u00a0Essential skills are ability to help maintain a clean kitchen (some level of kitchen proficiency is a help), attention to accuracy in food orders and great customer service.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Admission and store staff:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Greeting customers (smiles are required!)\u00a0\u00a0Host\/hostess role of describing farm activities to direct customers.\u00a0\u00a0Keeping store items priced and stocked.\u00a0\u00a0Cleaning and helping with all areas of customer service.\u00a0\u00a0Flexibility to assist in the caf\u00e9 is helpful.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Availability:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n September & October Monday \u2013 Saturday.\u00a0\u00a0Possible training and start time in late August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Weekdays<\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a0Daytime Starting around 8:30-9AM on most days. Through 2-4PM.\u00a0\u00a0Ending time is somewhat flexible for Moms who need to be home for school children.\u00a0\u00a0But 8:30-1:30 is necessary on days you would work.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Occasional afternoons and evenings would be great. You don\u2019t have to be available every day\u2014we try to stagger with our other staff.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n We potentially have need for the mid-afternoon to early evening shift as well, for at least a portion of Sept and October. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The busiest two weeks of the season are the first two weeks of October, so being available during fall break is critical.\u00a0\u00a0(Again, maybe we don\u2019t need you every day, but decent portions of those two weeks is helpful).\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Saturdays<\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a0Starting September 10 thru the Saturdays in October.\u00a0\u00a0We try to stagger staffing so some come late and others come early to stagger leave times.\u00a0\u00a0If someone is willing to commit to the entire 12 hours on Saturdays, we will consider that.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Being available both weekdays and weekends is not absolutely required, but much preferred.\u00a0\u00a0It\u2019s just two months, so it\u2019s a short season to work in a fun environment\u00a0with a short time commitment.<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Benefits<\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a0Fun environment.\u00a0\u00a0Our customers are glad to be here.\u00a0\u00a0You help make that happen and we appreciate you!\u00a0\u00a0And if you love it, potential exists to start back with us in the spring!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Homeschool parents<\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a0This can be a possible job during the week for you if you have older children who can be responsible for themselves while you work.\u00a0\u00a0Currently some of our Moms bring their older children\/young teens to work with them.\u00a0\u00a0We are glad for you to do that.\u00a0\u00a0You have a responsible teen?\u00a0\u00a0We can potentially put them to work while they are here with you.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Pay to be discussed when we know your availability.\u00a0\u00a0We will schedule for minimum of 4 hours if you are traveling a distance so that it\u2019s worth your time to come to work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To apply: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
