Christian Way Farm and Mini Golf features a majority of activities for your family to enjoy the outdoors and participate in fun farm activities. Before you head out to the farm, check out these 6 tips.
1. Plan Your Visit
There are so many things to do at the farm! Take a ride on the lawn mower train, play a round of mini golf, race around the tricycle track, play a round of farm-themed mini golf, play in the corn truck, or simply enjoy the side open spaces to run and play. There are games to be played like giant Jenga & giant Scrabble, Gaga ball, a basketball hoop, a rock wall, and playgrounds. Our animals love visitors and they’ll come running to the fence for a snack. You’ll be able to grind the corn yourself to feed them, bottle feed a calf or two, snuggle kittens and pups, check the chicken coop for eggs, watch and laugh at the silly goats and their antics and more. There’s so much to do that it is helpful to plan out which activities you want to tackle ahead of time.
2. Bring Sunscreen & Bug spray
We love summertime! The sun is out and with the kids out of school there’s lots of opportunities to get them outside, but don’t forget the sunscreen! Sunscreen is so important for children and adolescents (and you). Protecting your child from sun exposure can greatly reduce risk of skin cancer. There’s lots of shade at the farm, but that extra layer of protection is always helpful. Bug spray is important as well, since our entire operation is outside.
3. Bring a Picnic or Dine at the Christian Way Café
You are more than welcome to bring your own food to the farm (no alcohol permitted). We have designated picnic areas for you and your family, or another option is to head to the Christian Way Café. Try our popular apple nachos, Hunt Brothers pizza, wings, hamburgers, hot dogs, pretzels, snow cones and Dippin Dots!
4. Wear Comfy Shoes
Whether you’re chasing a little one or enjoying a relaxing afternoon outdoors, be sure to wear a pair of comfortable shoes. Open-toed shoes are welcome but do be aware of mud or dust that could get on your feet.
5. Fill up your Gas Tank
Although we are in Hopkinsville and located near Clarksville and Muhlenberg be aware that our farm is 13 miles from the nearest gas station. Fill up your tank before you come!
6. Stop by the Country Store
If you forgot anything be sure to check the Country Store. You can find toys and unique items or purchase a gift card or season pass for a friend.
BONUS TIP
Play a round of mini golf under the stars. As the weather gets warmer, our evening hours are a great way to beat the heat! We’re open 10 AM to dark for farm activities and mini golf is open until 9 PM. If you haven’t experienced mini golf under the stars, you’re missing out!
